Thompson C. Maner M.D., F.A.C.C.
General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology
Dr. Maner graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in1971, and he received his MD from the Medical College of Georgia in 1974. He completed and internship and residency from The University of Kentucky in 1977, and he spent one year as an Internal Medicine specialist in Ocala, Florida before entering his Cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida. He completed his Cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida in 1980.
In 1980 Dr. Maner joined Dr. Cook whereupon Cardiology Associates of Panama City was formed, now renamed the Cardiovascular Institute of Northwest Florida. We are fortunate at the Cardiovascular Institute of Northwest Florida that Dr. Maner arrived when he did because were it not for his and Dr. Cook's tireless efforts, we might not have survived as a cardiovascular practice. Dr. Maner is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and in 1999 added qualifications in Interventional Cardiology. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology, and his clinical interests are in general cardiology, invasive and interventional cardiology as well as non-invasive studies in echocardiography and vascular ultrasonography.
Dr. Maner is a devoted husband and a loving father. When he can get away he loves to travel with his wife, hunt small game on his farm, fish and snow ski as often as possible.
