Bussie A. Evans M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Evans is a true native Floridian having been born and raised in Panama City, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Chemistry from the University of Florida in 1977, and remained at the University of Florida where he also received his MD in 1981. Dr. Evans completed his internship and residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his residency in 1984, but he served as Chief Resident at Kings County Hospital in 1985 and was a Clinical Instructor in Medicine for SUNY-Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn during 1986. Dr. Evans left New York for his fellowship in Cardiology at the University of California, Irvine which he completed in 1989.
Upon completion of his cardiovascular fellowship Dr. Evans returned home to join the Cardiovascular Institute of Northwest Florida. Dr. Evans is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and his clinical interests are in general Cardiology with particular emphasis in non-invasive studies.
